enCOre!


reached school at 11am.
bought food for conductor and 3 seniors.
settled the tickets and money.
moved the instruments to the foyer.
changed into attire.
left for Singapore Conference Hall (SCH).





woah.
long time didnt went SCH already.
the time i last went there was during SYF, which was more than a year ago.
we brought back good news for SYF that time, so im sure we would too, for this enCOre!

took some pictures with TANBO! =)
and with the pink ties people! (lukas and meng tian)
tuned our instruments.
went into the concert hall at about 2pm.
final tuning of instruments and started our rehearsal at about 220pm.



started with 'XI SHUANG BAN NA'.
i dont have that mood yet.
realised im not prepared for the concert emotionally.
realised i played the notes with no feelings.



went on rehearsing the songs accordingly to the programme booklet.
slowly and slowly.
got the feel.
first time watched the soloists-pei yan and mei yi play their pieces.
it was GREAT! =)
especially pei yan's solo!
i was mesmerised by her, to be honest.
woo!



ended rehearsal at about 540pm.
irvin prayed for ACCO, hopefully it will be a success.
went to eat dinner (packed food).
slacked and talked.



then it was 7pm.
got back to the backstage for tuning of instruments.
made sure that all the liuqins are tuned accurately.
checked again and again whether they are tuned already.
dont want any of them to go out of tune on stage.
nervous.



then it was 730pm.
people are going into the hall.
we stood at the backstage, getting ready to go onto stage.
nervous.
nervous.
nervous.
waited 10 mins.
that 10 mins seemed so long.
made sure my liuqin did not went out of tune during that time.
had a handshake with iming. THANKS for that! =)



then the door opened.
i was the first person who walked to the stage.
i was very serious, and nervous of course.
there were many shouts from the audience!
woohoo!
thanks for that, guys! (although i only heard one) =)))




started with our first song: 'XI XUN DAO BIAN ZAI'!
woohoo!
cool man!
the whole song was played well!
didnt make any mistakes except for my solo part. =(
then came 'YAO ZU WU QU'!
that was okay except for some mistakes with sheng.

the third song was pei yan's solo piece.
then came erhu ensemble, playing 2 songs.





then...
THEN it was INTERVAL!!!
WOO!!
excited!
called cynthia to ask everyone to come meet me!! =)))
WOAH.. so many people in my class came!
ariati, marshella, xiang jun, cynthia, jovia, bernard, bong, fang yu, jin xuan, jin zhe, tuck hing, jaymond, andy, zhen ning, derrick, kai yuan!
haiyuan came too!
YEAH YEAH!!
i was very happy!
thanks to bong for making it down! haha.

i was really happy.. and touched that all of them came!

then it was meiyi's solo.
woah.. she wore a pink gown! not bad not bad.
first time seeing her in a gown!

then it was combined orchestra again!
'NI SANG QU'.
'YU LING LING'.
'XI SHUANG BAN NA'.
iming's white gown is nice!! =)
and her solo just rocks man!
i screwed up quite a bit though.. =x

i enjoyed those 2 songs man!
fun, fast and furious! haha!
just that the audience didnt really shouted enCOre.........
BUT, the conductor conducted the audience when we played the 2nd enCOre song!
haha..funny!

after the concert, bong came to give me the flowers that my class bought for me.

packed everything and brought the instruments downstairs.
took pictures again!! =))

then the class went back to school with me!!
THANKS TEACHERS and the driver for allowing them to stand on the bus! =)


then it was debrief and photo-taking.
did a CO cheer!

in the past, i want, i hope, i yearn for enCOre to be over.
and now its really over.
feeling empty.
feeling weird.
feeling sad.
no more CO practices.
no more scoldings from conductor and teachers.
no more stress.
no more concerts for me.

but, there's one thing i will never forget.
THE TIMES WE SPENT TOGETHER:
-the happy times.
-the lunches we had.
-the outings we had.
-the secrets we shared together.
-the big news we found out.
-the gossips we had.
-the CO practices we had.


GUYS!!
the concert was a GREAT success!
